A lot of blood and sweat went into making this guy. Not so much the modeling part, that part was fun, but it was one of the earlier projects where I learned to use Magics to prep the model for 3D printing.  Keys, undercuts, tolerances, and some articulation were only one side of the rubik's cube.

In collaboration with singer, songwriter, producer  most famously known as the founding member of The Black Eyed Peas. Will. I. Am.  builds momentum towards the release of his new sci-fi comic concept ‘wizards and robots’, will.i.am and his collaborative partner, intel futurist brian david johnson enlisted american digital creative agency struck to realize his vision of a graphic novel.

Developed in conjunction with ironhead studio, the team built the concept of the franchise and produced content that outlines the story of a battle between wizards and robots spanning from the 15th to 31st century.


HARD-SURFACE MODELING PRACTICE

Not too focused on design or aesthetic. Rather, this is a preliminary exercise in hard-surface modeling without the use of any edge-loops.


REIGN of AMIRA (2011)

3D prototype costume to bring a 2-dimensional game character to life.  Sword was engineered to be built in 9 separate pieces due to printing limitations.  Likewise, pieces longer than 11 inches in length were modeled in parts, with added keys to assist with assembly and masking for final paint job.
